From the library of Beethoven scholar and conductor, Elliot Forbes, and signed by him on the upper cover corner. The Concert champtre was first publicly performed in May of 1929 by Wanda Landowska, to whom the work is dedicated, at the Salle Pleyel, with Pierre Monteux conducting.
