Small Sculpture - Ceramic Vase - Unearthed 1Hand built, stoneware vessel. Unearthed 1 The vessels silhouette mimics an ancient relic recovered from the soil. Its surface is heavily weathered, featuring a distressed landscape that suggests centuries of exposure to the elements. I used iron and manganese oxides to mimic the natural weathering of stone, making the vessel look like its been buried for centuries rather than fired in a kiln.
