Patchwork enamel earrings. 5 colour waysRecycled copper is used in the making of these earrings. All of the shapes are hand cut from an old copper ashtray. The ashtray is heated in my kiln and once annealed (softened) I cut out the shapes. The enamel powders are applied and fired in my kiln until fused to the copper base. Once cooled I start the cleaning process, I use a diamond file that fits into my dremel to accentuate each square of enamel by carefully filing around the edges of each
