2019 Pommard, Grands Epenots, 1er Cru, Domaine Michel Gaunoux, BurgundyVery pretty, even discreetly perfumed, aromas are comprised by notes of red and black cherry, spice and a hint of just turned earth. Here too the mouthfeel of the medium weight flavors is surprisingly supple and very forward though they do tighten up somewhat on the sneaky long finish that also reflects a touch of warmth though here it is more subtle.
