Early Joseph Lonewolf Miniature Incised Black and Red PotThis is a very early two color incised Santa Clara jar by Joseph Lonewolf (1932 2014). The black jar is highly polished with a red incised depiction of a stylized turkey. Joseph Lonewolf started the fine incising of miniature pots and created the technique to make red and black pottery in the same firing in 1971. The piece is incised on the bottom with Joseph Lonewolf, 1972 and 26 which indicates it is the 26th piece of incised pottery he had made.
