The Old Man of Storr, Skye, ScotlandThe Old Man of Storr is one of those geological features that looks like it shouldn't exist. A slender basalt pinnacle, maybe 50 metres tall, standing apart from the main cliff face on a steep grassy slope above the Sound of Raasay. The neighbouring pinnacle is broader, more weathered, but no less impressive against that moody Skye sky.
